Bruno Mars debuts ‘Versace On The Floor’, covers Rolling Stone + announces tour ♫♫

Bruno Mars is certainly riding this throwback wave really well. Maybe a little too well.

New ballad ‘Versace On The Floor’ is serving up some serious 90s R&B teas. I hear Jodeci, New Edition, 98 Degrees, and a bit of Michael Jackson thrown up in the mix. As I say once again, I hope Bruno has credited his samples accordingly.

‘Versace On The Floor’ is not as instant as ‘24k Magic’ and ‘Chunky’, but I like it a lot. He really stretched those vocal chords to the MAX on some of these notes. And I'm not trying to sound petty or anything, but we all know if an actual black artist like Tank had released a song like this, it would have been paid dust. But let Bruno and Justin Timberlake bring back the oldschool of black and it becomes an instant hit. In Bruno's defense, he knows his music and grew up listening to soul, R&B, funk, and rock. And I do believe his culture appreciation is far more genuine than JT, but it's still unfair that a black artist can't catch a break doing this type of music in this day and age.

Bruno also graces the cover of Rolling Stone for the second time, where he talks Beyoncé, Kanye West, and marriage. Click here to read the interview. Bruno also announced his '24K Magic' tour today. Dates were posted on brunomars.com! He will be touring in 19 countries and 82 cities. His new album '24k Magic' arrives in stores November 18th.
