Cassie announces new single 'Makeup'

During VMAs night, Cassie told 'E! News' that she’s been working with producer Detail on her next album. The first single off it, is called ‘Makeup,’ which she says is "coming soon."

Dropped debut (and only album) 10 years ago

I'm not convinced. The worst thing she could ever have done to her music career is ditch Ryan Leslie. 10 years has gone by since her debut and she never got round to releasing a second album. Just bread crumbs here and there, such as the 'RockaByeBaby' mixtape in 2013. Goes to show that dating one of the world's richest and influential music moguls doesn't always mean much career wise. Nevertheless, I'm excited about hearing new music.
