Michael Jackson estate sells stake in Sony...

Sony has agreed to pay the estate of Michael Jackson $750 million for its share of the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalog.
MJ pulled the ultimate boss move when he purchased the ATV catalogue in 1985, ruining his friendship with Paul McCartney. Sony will now have sole ownership of songs by The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Eminem, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift and many others. I don't understand why John Branca would do this! MJ was very vocal in his hatred for Sony. That catalog was his legacy and it is worth billions. I guess this deal is okay as long as they can say proceeds will benefit Michael's mother and his three children.
