Another update on that new Britney album...

During an interview with Mario Lopez for Extra, Britney Spears mentions her new album, and takes us behind the scenes of her revamped 'Piece of Me' show.

I really enjoyed watching this interview because Britney seems like her old charismatic self again. You can actually see a bit of that old spark in some of her newest performances. As for her new album, her longtime manager Larry Rudolph was interviewed by the Las Vegas Sun in a recent podcast. He says the album is around 80% complete. It is different from her last few albums, which he says have been straight forward pop. Sonically, he describes it as "Britney meets The Weeknd" kind of vibe and confirms she's been very hands on with the songwriting process. Interesting.
