One of them being, keeping it hood and not forgetting where she came from. She also released the song to coincide with her 36th birthday over the weekend. Fans can find it on her upcoming album 'Planet 9,' titled after her very own label.
I love Mýa. The music she puts out is actually better than her contemporaries. As she can not catch a break in the States, she shouldn't waste her time and just focus releasing her music in European and Japanese markets instead. This is pretty much what she did with the 'K.I.S.S.' and 'Sugar & Spice' albums. I'm really feeling the track and it would be nice to see her enjoy some success outside of performing in strip clubs.
Alternatively, Rita Ora is trying to recruit Iggy Azalea, Miley Cyrus and Charli XCX for a 'Lady Marmalade' remake. Mýa won a Grammy for the Patti Labelle original when she featured on it alongside Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Lil Kim. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks. If things don't go to plan, Mýa could reach out to Rita but then, given the potential participants, that would be scraping the bottom of the barrel. Get to know Mýa a little bit more below.
