Rihanna covers NME magazine...

Rihanna is the first star to cover the brand new free NME magazine and it will be delivered to over 500 locations in the UK.
For the exclusive interview, NME travelled to Los Angeles to interview Ri about her eighth studio album, her thoughts on Taylor Swift, life in the public eye, working with Kanye West, feminism and the fallout from her 'Bitch Better Have My Money' video.

If you recall, the feminist community were fuming because they felt Rihanna was glorifying and sexualising violence against women. I also like what she said about Taylor. A lot of thirsty artists have jumped on the Taylor bandwagon, joining America's sweetheart on stage, but Rihanna would have no part of it.

“I don’t think I would” says Rihanna.
“I just don’t think it makes sense. I don’t think our brands are the same: I don’t think they match, I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind she’s a role model, I’m not.”
And this is Rihanna being unapologetically Rihanna. Who's to say Taylor would even risk being overshadowed by someone like Rihanna anyway? She has never been one to go out of her way to please others, and it would just come across as fake/forced. A lot of artists jumping on stage with Taylor need the publicity and Rihanna makes her own publicity, not on the back of somebody else. I admire her for that.

A few weeks ago, I remember the candid shots of her walking around LA with this navy blue wig so I'm glad we're now seeing the final product. She looks very youthful and alluring here and I'm sure everyone wants to know what is up with her new album. The end of the year is quickly approaching so the question on everyone's lips is when? Quotes will be available when the full interview is released tomorrow.
