Rihanna to perform at 'The Concert for Valor'...

Okay, some 'real' Rihanna news.

Rihanna expressed her excitement at being booked for a televised live concert from the National Mall in Washington next month. The concert is to raise awareness of issues concerning veterans. No word on whether she will debut new music, but 'The Concert for Valor' is planned for 7PM Eastern on Veteran’s Day (November 11th).

It will be televised by HBO, which will provide its signal free to non-subscribers. Other performers scheduled to perform include Eminem, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Jamie Foxx, Dave Grohl, comic John Oliver, Carrie Underwood and the Zac Brown Band.

The ceremony, which will be spearheaded by Starbucks chairman Howard Schultz, will feature appearances from Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Other participants will be announced in the coming weeks. The concert is free, but sponsors are hoping to give fans leeway to donate money to causes helping war veterans.
