Some people may think that selling 70,000 copies in your first week is lackluster but as a new artist who didn't encounter a big hit, these numbers are actually very commendable for Jhené Aiko.
Her new album 'Souled Out' entered at #3 on the Billboard 200 this week but it was Christian rapper Lecrae who took the top spot with sixth album 'Anomaly,' which sold 88,000 copies.
Maroon 5′s 'V', slipped to #2 with 80,000. On a positive note, Jhené's record did in fact open on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and R&B Albums charts.
