There are certain names I wouldn't expect Frank Ocean to be associated with musically, especially a ratchet producer like Hit-Boy of all people.
But then, Beyoncé worked with them both on her last album so what's good enough for Bey is good enough for her pal Frank. According to Attitude,
Frank is currently in the studio recording new music with
hitmakers Hit-Boy and Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins.
According to Billboard, he signed a new management deal with Three Six Zero earlier this summer and this will supplement the release of her second studio album, due next year. The project will serve as the follow-up to his 2012 debut 'Channel Orange.'
Something tells me this album will be less adult contemporary like the first one and more commercial/mainstream urban-pop. Not sure how well that will go down with listeners drawn in by his explosive "coming out" admission, but I always felt his music could do with a little bit of charisma. He seems to be working with a lot more producers this time around, so that's good.
