First listen: Fergie's comeback single ‘L.A. Love (La La)’ (snippet)...

The first listen to Fergie’s brand new DJ Mustard-produced single, ‘L.A. Love (La La)’ has just been made available online.

It seems like 60-seconds of the song put on loop over and over, but the chorus sounds a tad bit repetitive. I can see the "La La La" part getting annoying real quick. I need to hear the verses, bridge, and some break-down to really determine whether the global/city shout-out anthem will set the charts ablaze.

So far, I like the looped snippet though. It's not that bad after a few listens and although I can tell it's a Mustard beat, it's still fresh, catchy and current. I just expected something a little stronger than this after eight years. The song first made its debut during yesterday's DSQUARED2 fashion show in Milan, so it's possible that the song was looped especially for the ceremony. It certainly doesn't sound like a demo from what I can hear. I’m glad she’s chosen to go the urban route with her comeback and I hope there's major development when the song comes out in full on September 30th.
