Mariah Carey announces her highly anticipated world tour 'The Elusive Chanteuse Show.' This will be Mariah’s first world tour since her 'Adventures of Mimi' trek in 2006.
The tour will launch with two dates in Japan. She will also play 12 exclusive dates in Asia starting October 4th including her first ever visit to mainland China. The set list will include her biggest hits, fan-favorite album cuts, never-before-performed selections from her newest album 'Me. I am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse' and much more.
In an official press release, the singer adds:
“I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans. I can’t stop writing songs so don’t be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I just wrote the night before the show in your city!”Read the full press release.
It is understandable that she would choose Asia as the first launching pad for the trek because she has a major fanbase over there. In fact, her fanbase is so big, she is confident enough to announce STADIUMS in that territory. Obviously she knows where her bread is buttered. More shows are set to be announced on Mariahcarey.com, and other international dates are expected to be announced at a later time.
