TLC allegedly slams Rihanna for sexy image, Rihanna fires back...

Grammy-award winning group TLC are currently in Australia for their sold-out show. During an interview Down Under, they seemingly targeted Rihanna for her overtly sexy image. Hours later, Rihanna caught their shade and took to Twitter to dish out her own brand of retaliation in a way Rihanna knows how.

In the interview, posted below, the group are quoted as saying:
"It’s easy to sell sex. It’s hard for us to say anything because any time we do, they say, ‘Oh TLC must be jealous’, but I call a spade a spade. We became the biggest girl selling group of all time with our clothes on and that says a lot. We could go around too with booby cakes [breasts] out all day long."

Rihanna's response?

She was referencing the below photoshoot in a bid to condemn the legendary group as hypocrites:

I watched the video and not ONCE did they mention Rihanna's name. The editing is really deceptive. It was the narrator that used Rihanna's name and videos in the segment to make it look like Tionne and Chilli were solely targeting her. I feel they were making a general statement about ALL pop stars using sex to sell.

And by general, they were not just referring to Rihanna, but Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga who have ALL done topless (uncensored) photoshoots for magazines recently and walked around half naked in public. I don't think anyone should be targeted for selling sex because we're in different times now and QUALITY music isn't selling the way it did in the 90s.

I'm not trying to bash TLC (I absolutely love them) but I think it's incorrect that they didn't sell sex. Their songs were very sexual. So while they may not have flaunted T&A at every given opportunity, and stuck to wearing baggy outfits for the majority of their career, they were still selling sex in a more discreet way.

Nobody wins.
