That is, despite this year's American Idol encountering its lowest-rated finale ever. Sure, there's a whole lot of pretty up on that panel and most importantly, all three of them have had great chemistry this season. However, this show no longer attracts viewership or create viable stars anymore.
Even if they managed to resurrect Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston and have them up on that panel, the show still couldn't be saved. It's just lost its spark. I think the series should have ended after season 6, but now they are just grasping at straws and trying to hold onto the little popularity the show may have left.
