Aaliyah’s family fighting to stop Lifetime biopic...

Aaliyah’s family is taking legal action to stop production of the Lifetime biopic, slated to star Zendaya Coleman in its lead role. Aaliyah’s uncle and former manager, Barry Hankerson reveals to TMZ that her family is not happy that no one from the network contacted them about the biopic.

In fact, they are so angry they will take action to prevent Lifetime from using any of Aaliyah’s music and has hired a lawyer to block the release of the film. Hankerson claims Aaliyah’s family are open to the idea of a big, theatrical film, but feels that a TV movie is too small for the talented singer. Welp. The family has truly spoken. In deed, it's time to nip it in the bud.
