It's been six years since Solange released her last full length critically acclaimed studio album ‘Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams’. Her EP ‘True’, released in 2012, only served as an appetizer of what's to come. An appetizer which will be compensated wholesomely with the main meal real soon. When, we wonder? Solange answered that question during a fan Q&A on Twitter last night:
Early fall, have written 25 joints...recording and narrowing, very happy!
“@joeLIKEwhoaa: when can i expect new music? True still knocks.”

It's the album I may have been afraid to make, but had no choice but to make.
“@Saryonce: anything you can tell about your next project?”

Solange's take on 80s-pop nostalgia was so fresh and ear-engaging. If the music sounds just as lovely as what was delivered on 'True', Solange's album could very well rank in my top 5 as most anticipated of 2014. Her new album is slated to drop later this year via Columbia Records.
