Semi-finalists Rough Copy, birthed from the 2013 outing of The X Factor, have signed a record deal with Epic Records, putting them into the Sony Music fold. Their new single ‘Street Love’ samples the Anita Baker classic, ‘Sweet Love’ and sees production from Beatfreakz (Usher, Jason Derulo). The lads sing their own verses but it doesn't make much difference to me either way. I couldn't make it past the first minute. The amount of autotune pitched on their voice is absolutely unforgivable. More so, knowing that they can actually sing. Disappointing.
Rough Copy will release their debut single on June 29th and are working on their debut album.
