The once eclectic
Miguel doesn’t care for materialistic women and yearns for a simple relationship on this guitar-driven new record.
'Simplethings' is lifted off the volume two soundtrack to HBO’s
'Girls', which is slated to drop next week. This type of song from him is what I would call decent at best, but it's becoming boring and repetitive. The melody and overall production of the song sounds like something he's done over and over and it's starting to make him look like a one trick pony.
I know he's anything but that, but it would just be nice to hear a different type of record from him every now and then.
