This cover takes me back to my childhood when all the school girls had their crushes and we'd buy packets of
'Love Hearts'. They were these fruit flavoured sweets that would fizzle in your mouth and they had these little love messages on them.
The appeal in this artwork is that we don't see an overly photoshopped
Mariah with a pinched waist and overly contrived pose. We've seen what she looks like (curvier), so she must have realised she would not have been able to get away with it.
