Katy Perry wants you to know her tickets are reasonably priced compared to her peers...

Katy Perry is preparing to hit the road this May to support her third studio album. She stresses to Capital FM that all of her tickets are very reasonably priced compared to her peers. Apparently, she did her research so now everyone with thin pockets will be able to attend her shows!

You do know that by "peers", she was referring to Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé right? Now I'll put it out there. Aside from the odd few songs of hers, I've never really liked Perry's music. I've never considered her to be that great of a singer and she's certainly not a brilliant overall performer. Last I checked, the cost of tickets all depends on the production value, high standard show and the star power of that artist performing. So if you're a mediocre performer or if your sets aren't elaborate enough and the production isn't huge, you don't really have the right to be charging fans their left leg to attend your shows. It's not as cut as dry as charging cheaper to be reasonable. You charge proportionally to the quality of your shows and it's good she understands that.
