According to
The Los Angeles Times,
JoJo has signed a new deal with
Atlantic Records, home to a host of urban artists including
Bruno Mars,
Trey Songz,
Janelle MonĂ¡e, and
K. Michelle. Last July, she filed a lawsuit demanding to be released from
Blackground and its imprint,
Da Family Records. She must be so relieved to be free from a label in which she was kept prisoner for seven agonising years.
I just wish she signed to a better label because the only artist on that roster doing big things is Bruno Mars. Hopefully, JoJo will follow his lead. We're finally getting a brand new studio album from her. That's what's up!
