'Britney Jean' predicted to sell just 115-125k units in opening week...

115-125k units?!?! Bloody hell. And that's according to Hits Daily Double's estimates. Apparently, Britney Spears' new album 'Britney Jean' will just about scrape the 100K mark in its opening week. Ugh.
It's likely Britney will only manage number two on the Billboard 200 next week. Brit boy band One Direction sold 546,000 units of 'Midnight Memories' in its opening week. That means their second week will be stronger deterring the singer from enjoying the top spot. Horrible numbers I must add. Worryingly, it's highly likely that she will probably sell LESS than the predictions in the same vein as Katy Perry's 'Prism' and Lady Gaga's 'ARTPOP'. These numbers would have been amazing for an R&B singer but not for a well established pop star. Even without a single live performance or a hit single to ride from, one would assume her name alone would have secured her a commendable first week. Well, you don't rise from the ashes without encountering your first 'Bionic' but let this serve as a lesson. If you don't promote your shit, then why should anyone else care?
