ARTPOP: What Lady Gaga's first week sales look like, without Billboard manipulation...

Welp! Lady Gaga's new album, ‘ARTPOP’ is slated to sell between 250K-275K units in its opening week. That is less than what rival Katy Perry sold with 'Prism' (286,000 units) and a far cry from the 1.1 million copies sold with previous effort 'Born This Way'.
In 2011, 'Born This Way' was sold through Amazon for a next to nothing 99 cents. This prompted Billboard to change their rules so that snagging a #1 album by lowering the price became a thing of the past. I guess Beyoncé's first week sales for R&B album '4' (310,000 units) don't look so bad after all!!!! *rubs hands together in glee*
