Although Ashanti's show 'Army Wives' has been cancelled and won't be returning for an eighth season, I doubt she cares much. Her days as a viable selling artist may be well and truly over but at least she still gets paid to perform at certain gigs, although not in the millions bracket as a certain Ms Aguilera.
But some paper is better than none when you're forever billed a hasbeen singer.

Apparently, she performed at the Morehouse College Glee Club at the Atlanta school’s Ray Charles Performing Arts Center. The U.S. Postal Service was honouring the addition of the late soul singer to its “Music Icons Forever” stamp series. Now that Ashanti has more time on her hands, at least she can re-continue work on her upcoming 'Braveheart' album slated for a 2020 release.
