The official artwork for the last ever JLS single has just been unveiled, making their split all the more real. 'Billion Lights' is described as "a straight-up pop banger" with "a serious electric edge".
Makes a whole lot of sense. It IS what they started with after all. Many people think One Direction took their fanbase but I think their albums would still have continued to sell less regardless.

Something I've noticed about X Factor is that their acts come with a shelf life, especially the black ones. You only need to look at the poor album sales of Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis to realise this. Boybands do seem to get a lot more support but I don't think they did themselves any favours putting out trash and chasing the generic pop hit as opposed to putting out quality music. That saddens me because they actually had potential and I rooted for them.
Still, they lasted five years, made their millions and achieved quite a lot in their short presence so that accounts for something at least. Not many black boybands from the UK can say they've won a Brit Award, never mind two. Or have their first album sell over a million copies. Because there have been none to be honest.
'Billion Lights' will see a release in the UK on November 10th and the album will feature all of their biggest hits (from 'Beat Again' & 'Everybody In Love', to 'The Club Is Alive', 'Love You More', 'She Makes Me Wanna' and more).
The track is lifted off their upcoming retrospective 'Goodbye - The Greatest Hits', which will hit stores on November 18th, and this will be followed by a farewell tour. The trek kicks off in Belfast on December 1st and wraps up at London's O2 Arena on December 22nd.
