Following the official announcement of the new American Idol judges, Jennifer Lopez reveals to Ryan Seacrest her reasoning for returning to the show. She says:“It was one of those things …it was so hard for me to leave the first time …[but] to be honest, right now is the worst time for me to stop and do Idol! I’m doing two movies and I have my album coming out, but I’m doing it because I want to. I love it!” J.Lo will officially join Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban at the judges' table. Anyway, I seriously hate media-ready responses like this.
If she loves it so much, why not do it for free and donate that rumoured $17.5 million to charity? She knows the money was too good to pass (I doubt she even gets that for a movie these days). But hey, it won't hurt her and at least she gets to use the show to heavily plug her upcoming album. The show will air in January on FOX.
