Britney on GMA: Album release date, Las Vegas residency & new promo images...

Yesterday morning on Good Morning America, Britney Spears announced her Planet Hollywood residency in Las Vegas, as well as the release of her new album (due December 3rd). She arrived in a helicopter to promote her new single 'Work Bitch', which may or may not be part of Obama’s campaign to improve the economy. 

However, she didn't perform it as initially reported so we won't know what her performances look like until a later period. The residency, titled ‘Britney Spears – Piece Of Me’, will see her play up to 50 shows a year, with 34 more dates yet to be announced. It will also feature up to 20 of her biggest hits, and will include new material from her upcoming album just to "keep it fresh". The venue will reportedly hold up to 4,000 people and tickets were made available on Ticketmaster.com that same day.
 

Britney mentioned a ballad called 'Perfume' and says it is her favourite from the new album, and that her first kiss was with Justin Timberlake. As for the residency, doing shows in Las Vegas is often associated with hasbeens so I'm going to need her to dance her ass off like she use to just to prove she doesn't belong in that category. We always see her going into a dance studio before every era, and the dancing still comes across as lazy, stiff and lethargic.

But the interview was a good sign, as she was back to her old bubbly self again and was working the hell out of that jumpsuit. Check out some brand new promo images in HQ below.
