Two-time Grammy winning singer Melanie Fiona is back with a new single titled 'Cold Piece'. The track, produced by Alan Nglish, sees a brokenhearted Melanie expressing her pain over a tough break-up. To the ratbag out there, Melanie thinks "you're a 'cold piece' of work", but that doesn't stop her from delivering a really sweet vocal. The boom-bap production is laced with a piano melody, alongside drum and snare instruments. It sounds like the brand of R&B you'd hear in the 90s, when R&B actually sold. I'm not sure how this would fair on today's chart but expect the track to appear on Melanie's forthcoming third solo album.
