Serving up what may be one of this year's hottest summer anthems, Janelle Monáe teams up with Erykah Badu on 'Q.U.E.E.N', the first single off her upcoming new album 'The Electric Lady'. The colourful personalities of both R&B divas blast through on the super funky ladies anthem comprising 80's pop, Hip hop and some jazz. It’s all gratified energy from beginning to end before the track closes out with Janelle spitting some mean bars about the bootay. “Q.U.E.E.N. was inspired by private discussions between Erykah and me. It is meant to make you JAM. DANCE. FUNK OUT and dialogue later…” she tweeted. Jamming, dancing and funking out is certainly what I'll be doing over the summer. Gotta love how original and fresh this track really is.
