Following his 4th Annual OVO Fest last night, Drake debuted his new single 'Hold On, We’re Going Home', off his third studio album 'Nothing Was The Same' (due September 17th). Listen to the rapper tapping into his emotional, R&B side below! Drake's recent singles 'Started From the Bottom' and 'All Me' were both Hip Hop, so it's good to see him exploring another side to his talents. Now that his nemesis Chris Brown is contemplating retirement, there may be room for him to fill the void.
Drake doesn't have the best R&B voice but he's definitely working with something. I always felt that way right before he scrapped the R&B album he was planning to release a few years back. This love song is pretty oldschool, like one of those melodic R&B tracks you'd hear during the late 80s/early 90s. The song also features vocals from fellow Canadian crooner Majid Jordan.
